Hardware
In continuing with DreamVPS' commitment to provide the best possible hosting experience, we use only the highest quality equipment. All DreamVPS customers are hosted on either single or dual processor quad core Xeon processors, using enterprise-class Supermicro main boards. All host machines have at least 16GB of Error-Correcting Code RAM. Utilizing ECC RAM helps to ensure the utmost in stability for our servers. We also utilize hardware-backed RAID 10 on our machines to provide the fastest possible performance and highest reliability under heavy load.
Network
We take speed and reliability seriously. DreamVPS is built on an all fiber network, provided by Xeex Communications. This means not only do we operate from one of the largest IP backbones in the world, but we also peer with other major backbone providers, such as XO, Level(3), Global Crossing, Savvis, Hurricane Electric, and many more. For our clients, this means faster page loading times and the most efficient route between our servers and your customers.
Our competition is known to receive inbound traffic via Tier 1 providers but often only allows traffic out through the cheapest pipe, resulting in higher latency and slower load times. DreamVPS does not agree with this practice. We believe in providing you, our valued customer, with the best and most reliable connectivity possible.
DreamVPS houses its servers at the secure XO Communications facility, located in the Digital Realty Trust Data Center at 600 West 7th Street, Los Angeles, California. This is a state-of-the-art, 450,000 square foot Mission Critical Data center and Telecommunications facility, with a fully redundant power grid, fire suppression systems, full biometrics, and security on-site 24/7. We have dedicated technicians standing by around the clock, along with several layers of hardware and software monitoring to ensure our servers are always functioning at peak performance.
